Senior Digital Designer
We’re looking for a senior digital designer with strong animation and technical skills to join our busy studio. If you enjoy creating HTML5 ads, working in After Effects and dabbling in web design, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be part of a talented team, working with a wide range of clients from big-name brands to exciting start-ups.
What we need
An experienced designer to lead our digital projects. You'll bring the right experience, top-notch technical skills and can-do attitude to make a positive impact to our team. This full-time role is based in our Sutherland studio.
What you will do
Collaborate with the creative team on design strategies and roll out across digital touchpoints.
Online advertising:
Following client media plans, develop the core creative for use in online advertising assets.
Liaise with client / media buyer to roll out and supply campaign deliverables in required formats including HTML5.
Animation and editing:
Develop storyboards from supplied scripts.
Create engaging 2D video animations using After Effects/Premier, combining music, voice-overs, closed captions.
Edit and produce explainer videos/showreels from supplied or stock footage.
Output scaled animations for use on social media.
Stay up to date with the latest design trends and emerging technologies in digital design.
What you’ll need
5+ years’ experience in a design/digital role. Ideally with digital advertising agency experience, as an individual contributor/lead.
Thorough understanding of animation fundamentals and training/experience in animation software.
Conceptual thinking abilities, a critical eye for detail and ability to follow/maintain design direction.
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, flying solo or working with the team.
Excellent communication, presentation (layout & spoken) and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
A love for crafting and delivering beautiful design.
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior designers.
Skills summary
Highly proficient in HTML5 for digital advertising.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite particularly XD and After Effects (Figma etc. also considered).
UI/UX experience including wireframing and web design plus knowledge of WIX, Squarespace, WordPress or Shopify and relevant CMS would be helpful.
Working knowledge of online ad platforms like Adpiler and Google Display Network, a bonus.
