Creatik brings together two powerhouse brands for the 2023 FIFA women’s world cup

Sydney Airport is welcoming travelers from around the globe with an electrifying soccer-inspired experience as Sydney hosts the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. At the heart of this transformation is a successful collaboration with Creatik and Sydney Airport, working together to introduce excitement and bring the tournament to life within the airport's terminals.

For the team at Creatik, this project represents an extraordinary opportunity to work hand-in-hand with two powerhouse brands – Sydney Airport and the FIFA Women's World Cup. As one of the most anticipated international sporting events to hit Sydney in 2023, the Women's World Cup presented a unique canvas for the design team to showcase their creative capability.

The project's scope was multifaceted, focusing on two primary objectives: bringing the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup brand to life and creating enthusiastic support for the journey of the Matilda’s, Australia's national women's soccer team, using the Sydney Airport brand.

In keeping passengers informed and engaged with the tournament's progress, the team developed an innovative digital tournament scoreboard. These screens, strategically positioned throughout the airport, provide updates, match schedules, and scores, keeping soccer enthusiasts and travelers alike in the loop with the latest Women's World Cup happenings.

Beyond the terminal walls, the Creatik team extended their creative touch to buses as well, adorning them with vibrant eye-catching bus wraps. The colorful designs celebrate the Women's World Cup ensuring that the excitement of the tournament is shared as you move between the terminals.

To deepen the interactive experience for travelers there are numerous installations throughout the airport. These interactive displays allow passengers to engage with the Women's World Cup in a unique way, fostering a sense of connection and enthusiasm for the upcoming matches. In addition to static elements, there are eye-catching animations that light up the airport's digital displays. These animations create an exciting atmosphere that immerses passengers in the world of women's soccer and elevates the airports support of the Matilda’s.

Speaking about the project, Kylie Gould, the founder of Creatik, expressed her excitement, stating, "Collaborating with Sydney Airport to create a soccer-themed experience for the Women's World Cup has been an incredible journey for our team. We're passionate about sports and design, and this project allowed us to merge these passions on a grand scale. It's an honor to contribute to an event that celebrates the achievements and talents of female athletes worldwide."

With the countdown to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finally over, Sydney Airport is primed to leave a lasting impression on travelers, soccer fans, and visitors alike. Thanks to the work of the Creatik team, the airport has transformed into a vibrant celebration of women's soccer, setting the stage for an unforgettable tournament and a warm welcome to all who enter its terminals.
